"Hola" , "Bonjour"
My love for languages began as a youngster when I would imitate different accents and read my Mum’s Spanish night class books - trying out my little phrases on family holidays to Spain! I then loved learning French at school and so studying Modern Languages ( French and Spanish) at University seemed like the natural next step. I spent a year of living and studying France and Spain and was lucky enough to work as a translator at the Barcelona Olympics. Whilst working in logistics, pharmaceuticals and marketing, speaking a couple of languages always came in handy but sharing my enthusiasm for language and culture has always been my passion so I completed my teacher training at Warwick University after which I taught French and Spanish in Secondary schools. I discovered Language for Fun in 2016 and haven't looked back. I love helping my learners gain in confidence, have fun and share their love for the language and culture via a brilliantly structured course. I look forward to meeting you! :-)
Louise is an amazing teacher, the classes are relaxed and very inspiring. I have recently been to France and have gained so much confidence from attending the French class, giving me the courage to speak to French local people and enjoy the conversation instead of being nervous. This has also improved my confidence in public speaking generally in day to day life.

We love Spain and always holiday there so the opportunity to learn the language makes it less of an alien place. When I speak even a few words and I am understood by a local is such a thrill! Plus it's good for the brain! And Louise and my classmates make it such a pleasure - i look forward to my lesson every week!

Louise is a great teacher, always fun and entertaining; our group is also making great progress, we are all eager to graduate from Spanish beginners to intermediates! Whoop Whoop ?

Relaxed, fun, friendly
The term really has been "language for fun" with emphasis on the fun. A very relaxed friendly group. 10 out of 10!

I was apprehensive about having lessons online - I am so glad I did!
I was very apprehensive about having Spanish lessons via zoom, but my family persuaded me saying it would be foolish to give up, and carrying on would be good for me during the lockdown.
I have to say I am so glad I did! I can see my classmates and catch up with their news. Even though it’s not quite the same as meeting for coffee at the Dog and Partridge it’s still good fun.
I have nothing but praise for Louise she has put so much into making it all work. The lessons are great - we get through a lot of work but have fun at the same time.
Louise is also very generous with her time and with help of her lovely family we had a great quiz before starting the new term.
I would highly recommend Louise to anyone wanting to learn Spanish

We have enjoyed them tremendously
This is the fourth stage of our Language for Fun lessons with Louise - we have enjoyed them tremendously.
The lessons have refreshed what I vaguely remember learning at school, plus we have learned so much more. There is a particular focus on practical aspects, such as greeting people, shopping, travel, eating out and making bookings, etc. Excellent preparation for holidays and a good foundation for those who wish to go on to become more fluent.
Louise has also arranged get-togethers and other fun events.
