This course runs face-to-face in Formby.

These classes are ideal for people who have done some French before. Maybe you already have a GCSE or an O level in French. We have already looked at numbers, talking about ourselves, verbs in the present tense and vocabulary relating to ‘around town’ and holidays.

This term we will be looking at structures for talking about the past and topics such as holidays and shopping. There are no exams and there is no compulsory homework for this course.

The course will start on Tuesday 16th April 2024 and run for 9 more weeks with a break for half term (28th May). The course costs £150 for 10x 75 min lessons. Please pay a deposit of £50 to reserve your place. I kindly ask that full fees are paid before the first class.

About

I am passionate about languages and studied French and Spanish at Cambridge University. I am now a qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher at secondary level and have experience of teaching primary level languages all the way up to A level.

I love visiting new places and have spent time travelling around and volunteering in South America. Whenever I go to a new place I always try to have a go at the local language and can often be found clutching my phrase book with a look of polite terror as the person I am talking to replies to my question at top speed! As a result I am able to empathise with learners who feel nervous about speaking in front of others or who have had similar experiences with languages on holiday.

Whether you are starting from scratch, dusting off your high school French and Spanish or perfecting your language skills, Language for Fun classes provide a supportive and relaxed environment to learn and have fun. I hope you will join us!
